Chambre des nuages is a short film that delves into the memory of the long days I spent gazing at the sky through a skylight in the room I shared with my older brother. This space of contemplation, bathed in the soft sunlight of Normandy, sparked my imagination and filled me with a gentle warmth and clarity. However, this room was also a refuge, a place where I would retreat to escape the tensions within my family.

Through a musical composition blending acoustic instruments and field recordings, I sought to recreate that atmosphere of innocence tinged with melancholy. The visuals and the music intertwine to capture the duality between the wonder of a dreamy childhood and the need to escape from a sometimes harsh reality. Chambre des nuages is a journey of understanding and reconciling with those intimate memories, frozen in time, where pure bliss and nostalgia coexist.
